Question: Do you own property we can visit? Answer: SCN is a Non-Landed Social Club with no fixed address and relies on its members opening their home for scheduled pool or themed parties.
Question: Can I go nude at SW Florida beaches? Answer: There is no Florida statute or Sarasota County ordinance prohibiting “simple nudity”, i.e., nudity without lewd and lascivious behavior. However, nudism on local beaches (including Caspersen) will sometimes elicit complaints from the public, which the police must then investigate. Individuals approached by the police for nudity on the beach may simply be asked to “cover up”, but may run the risk of arrest, depending on the interpretation of the investigating officer.
Question: What is Clothing-optional?Answer: “Clothing-optional” means exactly that! At SCN private activities, such home pool or themed parties, nudity is only required if joining members in the pool or hot tub. Many members, especially female opt for comfortable 'wrap' when seated around the pool.
Question: Will I encounter sexual activity? Answer: No overt sexual activity is allowed at SCN events. Public sexual activity is prohibited and would undermine the club’s stated purpose and image. Violations of this rule should be reported to club officers.
